NEW ALTERNATIVE RHYMING SCRIPTS

 

  

 

Modern rhyming scripts are available for Debbie's Shakespeare musicals, Romeo & Juliet and Antony & Cleopatra. They can be performed as alternatives or used as introductions to her original abridged versions of the text. The plots are simplified but accurately followed, with corresponding Act and Scene Numbers provided for reference. To retain the richness of Shakespeare's language, snippets of his text are scattered throughout the song lyrics.

As in all of Debbie's musicals, the number of Speaking and Singing Parts is maximized for whole classes to participate, with a rich variety of musical styles setting the scene and Chorus Parts making them entirely suitable for School Productions.
