STORY: an industrious Little Red Hen single-handedly makes a loaf of bread from a few grains of wheat she has found in the farmyard. Then she eats it, refusing to share it with her ‘friends’, who haven’t lifted a finger to help! This traditional story gives an insight into human as well as animal behaviour, and considers the benefits of sharing workloads as well as food.
